Does Your Business Have A Real Life Foofprint?

give-winners

It is a strange concept, but in 2016, it is entirely possible for a business to exist and operate without any kind of real or physical presence in the world. Or at least, one that cannot be seen easily by others!

In a way, this is both a blessing and a curse. The arrival of the internet has allowed everyone the opportunity to have a virtual presence in the world. Your website is your shop front and your office all in one go. It may be possible for you to conduct your entire business without ever having to go out of your house or interact with an actual human being.

Perhaps this suits you down to the ground or perhaps you are slightly wistful for the old days. But either way, even if your business is conducted entirely on line and all your marketing is done through the internet, there is still something to be said for the traditional way of doing things.

If you don’t have a bricks and mortar shop or even leave the building on a morning to do your job, what about thinking about using branded giveaways and corporate promotional products to get your business name and details out there?

Believe it or not, there are still a lot of people out there who do not venture online and your business could be missing out on potential clients by never, literally, getting into their doorway or landing in their letterbox. This could even be if your business or service is conducted entirely online.

Guiding your customers towards you sometimes does need a physical presence. Say for example you are a professional dog walker who has built up a business around social media and animal loving websites – good for you – but what about connecting with some of the people in your locale by printing a small ad up on a postcard and distributing it around your street. And remembering to include a phone number and not just a web address!

It does not have to stop at small ads, a little keepsake like a promotional keyring or promotional cups can really help get the name and address of your small business or concern out around the local area.

There are some people, particularly elderly people who may prefer to speak to someone directly, even if they can’t talk to you face to face. And an elderly person may be exactly the type of person who could need help walking their dogs!

It is not just the sole trader or dog walker who may benefit from the use of merchandising products and cheap promotional items. It is anyone.

However you need to give your choice of items some careful thought – don’t be like one client and rush out and blow your advertising budget on a gross load of branded bottle openers, before realising that your client base mainly don’t drink due to religious reasons!

This is a subject that requires a bit of creative thinking and lots of common sense as well as knowing your customers in some depth first.
